Palm Tree Lodge & Backpackers

I stayed in one of the 2 room apartments which was spacious and comfortable. Although a little tired it was perfectly adequate and value for money. The location is good with an easy walk to the pier and central Paihia. The pool was an added bonus.

I was comfortable with the fan but some may require air conditioning. There is no TV in the room but there is a TV room onsite. Maybe some milk and a few sachets of tea and coffee could be supplied. The closet dairy was charging $20 for 50gm of coffee.

Really nice lodge, we booked our own apartment with ensuite. But when we arrived, my partner had to get in the shower and clean it before we used it. The drain was all clogged up. We were lucky enough to tell management and they gave us a hand.

Bed wasn’t the most comfortable, noisy, blinds weren’t black out

The only thing missing was air-conditioning. Fantastic location and facilities. Looks budget but was really good

The kitchen area was spacious and we loved the main outdoor courtyard. The pool is also a great amenity to come back to after a long day hiking or at the beach.

Great location, minutes' walk to beach, tidy.
