Dock of the Bay, Genova

Location was great, better than expected and advertised. Perfect for cruise passengers before trip and after trip for certain! There was work going on the outside so can only imagine how wonderful it is when the work is completed. Restaurants close and grocery store across the street. Left looking at the boats and the cruise ships coming in.

Wish there were instructions on how to use the coffee pot or maybe some complimentary coffee pods as was not familiar with that model and was unable to use it.

location good; property poor and overpriced particularly as balcony closed and scaffolding across the front of the property. Disrepair to fixtures and fittings. Owner refused to discuss. Not 4 star at all.

It was badly described, with poor facilities and undergoing building works, so dark and no access to the balcony. The scaffolding made it dark inside. Please also be advised that the location is noisy. More like 2 or 3 star, definitely not 4 star. Owner would not discuss shortcomings and refused to engage, leaving it to Booking.com who were great. Clearly a greedy host.

The building is under renovation, so the balcony is closed and you can barely see outside. The beds are'nt too comfortable. Also, the parking is kind of tricky.

We booked the room for the balcony and view of the water however; there was scaffolding around the building and also work being done on the balcony, this prevented us from being able to use it. We would not have booked this apartment had we been advised that it could not be used.

We loved the location, first and foremost. Right on the waterfront in the old port. Everything we wanted to see or do, or needed was an easy walk away, the car left securely in the easy to access, secure carpark. The apartment itself was really clean and comfortable, exactly as pictured. We spent nearly five days here and weren't tripping over each other. We'd happily come back.
