Cozy Turret Room at Nottingham Place in Wise with Plush Queen Bed, Private Detached Full Bath

The Cozy Turret Room was perfect for my wife and I after several hours on the road. The directions for finding the house, parking, and entering the house and guest room were clear and easy to follow, and although we didn't interact with any staff, sometimes it's nice not to have to deal with people. That said, the owners were only a text message or a call away and were very responsive both during the stay and when I made the booking. In fact, I initially booked the wrong night, but a quick call to Kim and she made the change for me on her end, and we were good to go. The accommodations were perfect for relaxing on the last night of a road trip and our first visit to the town of Wise. The room and the guest foyer were both well-stocked with plenty of drinks, snacks, coffee, and water, so we had lots of choices when we arrived and, in the morning, as well. And as a bonus, one of the house cats, Tigerboy, made us feel right at home and gave us lots of love.

The only downside to the Cozy Turret room was the detached bathroom. This is completely my fault, but I missed that detail in the description when I made the booking. However, the detached bath was private and had everything we needed. Plus, anytime we entered the hallway to go to bathroom from our room, automatic lighting along the floor showed us the way day or night.

Everything! It was great to stay at the former Roberts House restaurant where I used to eat when I lived in Wise. Also nice to be near the courthouse where I worked for 16 years and visited for the eight years prior when I was a reporter. Kim was an exceptional hostess and even carried my suitcase up and down the stairs. She had so many lovely snacks and drinks available. The bathroom was so nice with lots of products in case I had forgotten anything. The room was super comfortable. Loved my stay!

Our hosts were absolutely wonderful! The house is a beautiful old Victorian home with huge rooms. The bed was very comfortable and incredibly clean. Anything you might need has been provided as a courtesy as they've anticipated all your needs. The house has a huge front porch for lounging too! Nottingham Place should be at the top of your list when selecting somewhere to stay in the Wise area!

Minor - they have cats in the house. We simply picked the cat up and set him outside our door and closed it as we are not fond of cat hair. The room, however, was completely free of cat hair upon entry.

Location is in the heart of Wise. The hosts are very accommodating and kind. There are snacks and supplies galore. They have thought about your comfort and anticipated your needs. The kitty cats are very friendly, but not bothersome.

There are stairs, but they will help you if you need. We will be visiting this quaint location in the future, it was much better than I dreamed.
