We couldn’t stay because the room and bathroom were disgusting and dirty. After reporting to booking.com and the property owner, there was no resolution and not any help to find a new place. Booking.com gave me a voucher for 8 and a half GBP, much less than I paid for the place. So nasty, disappointed on all fronts.

It was clean and really convenient. Extremely comfortable bed, slept like a baby. Very helpful when asked for anything. Would definitely stay again.

"Consider elsewhere"

HONEST REVIEW- PLEASE CONSIDER STAYING ELSEWHERE. CONS- We had a late flight and a long drive home, hence the decision to stay over… we checked in slightly after 11pm due to a delayed flight… when we arrived, the main front door was unlocked and slightly open, as was the door to room 1, which we were changed to last minute (probably because they complained about the room). Obviously, this means that anyone off the street could have potentially been in our room. There were no curtains and no curtain pole in room 1 and it’s on the ground floor on the front main road. The bedroom door has glass that you can see through, anyone could watch you sleeping. The shared bathroom downstairs (that’s not advertised as a shared bathroom) didn’t lock, so we couldn’t have used the toilet or shower safely in a shared house with strangers… unsure about upstairs as we didn’t check due to our consideration of the time while other guests were sleeping… With all this considered, we decided to leave and travel 3 hours home. As we were leaving, a car window got smashed, therefore I’m not sure how safe the area is so be vigilant if you do stay. PROS - has a 3 car drive and free on street parking and the kitchen looked ok. The host did initially communicate well before we advised of the issues. They did advise the next day that they would have rectified the issues, however none of the issues were rectifiable at 11:30/12pm The owner will say that we accepted the room change, which we did, but obviously we weren’t aware of the issues until arrival. We did give them the opportunity for a refund which the owner initially declined, however after sending booking.com the details and photo evidence they contacted the owner for a full refund.

"It started a bit slow when we couldn't access our room, but after that, everything was fine."

7.0

I like the grandiose nature of the entrance, and I liked the kitchen, and the room. The bathroom being so close to the room wasn't the issue I thought it might be.

I felt like the banister on the stairs was a bit too low for safety, and I am 5' 8", so not overly tall. I didn't like the fact that the front door was open all night, so that anyone could just walk in, which wasn't very secure or safe. Although I liked the kitchen, the cupboards very untidy, barely anything in but rubbish. I was confused by the fridge, and I didn't know if items were for everyone to use, or if items were private.
