GBNothing. Property had not been cleaned on arrival. Cleaners turned up, unannounced, the next morning. We had to purchase clean bedding and towels. Derisory offer of compensation made. Had no option but to keep the booking as Cardiff booked out with graduations.
As above, wholly unacceptable condition and now facing challenges to be properly compensated. Will have ended up spending nearly as much on clean bedding and towels as the sum the property owner is willing to recompense. Frustrating lack of understanding. Photos of what we arrived to see included in this review.

GBThe property was not as advertised
As above. The pictures and the brochure they send you of this property is totally different to what you get. The property was filthy all was done was new sheets put on beds and clean towels. There were clumps of dust and hairs over one headboard, crumbs on seating etc, greasy finger/hand marks all over kitchen cupboards. The list can go on and on. Open broken electric sockets. Patio area was disgusting it’s above a shop so technically on the roof of the shop with filthy green grass carpet and no railings or cover, no health & safety considered. Did contact booking.com customer services on Sunday 22nd still no reply from them. Hosts come across as being polite and apologetic but looking at previous reviews and with regards to our stay actually do nothing complaints. Say they have a cleaning company do their cleaning and they’ll contact them and send someone round, they don’t.
BEThe location is very convenient, with many amenities nearby. The bus stop is right next to the door, and there's a Sainsbury’s within walking distance. You'll also find various restaurants, bars, and other dining options in the area. For those who enjoy walking, Cardiff city centre is about 30 minutes away on foot. The host was responsive and replied to our messages fairly quickly. The accommodation was generally clean, apart from the living area, which could have been a bit better maintained. It was quite warm inside, but that’s understandable given the 30-degree temperatures outside.
Upon arrival, there was a large box from a new sofa placed in the doorway of the living area, which was a bit inconvenient. Thankfully, this was resolved the next day after we reported it. The seating area felt a bit cramped for five people, partly because the new sofa appeared smaller than the one shown in the pictures. Adding a few extra chairs might be helpful. Cutlery was also in short supply for a group of our size. Lastly, the living area didn’t seem thoroughly cleaned: there was dirt on the floor, most likely left behind by maintenance staff who delivered the sofa after the cleaners had been through. The top bed was placed directly on the floor. While it was still comfortable and didn’t bother us, adding a bedframe would make it feel a bit more finished and visually appealing.

The property was disgusting, one of the worse places I’ve ever been too. It was filthy dirty, smelt of smoke had dirty condom wrappers left and blood on towels. Then owners wouldn’t refund
GBThe property is in a good location and the decor furnishings are nice. However the cleaning standards are disgusting, filth over soft furnishing, rubbish in back yard area, mould, bird droppings, blocked drains letting off foul odour. Rubbish bins full, mould all in small court yard, questionable whether the linen was changed, food item left in fridge……the list goes on.
The hygiene standards are extremely poor, reported to the company who manages the establishment, not rectified during our stay. Have been in talks regarding reimbursement of money. They made 25% offer, which I do not feel is fair. Now they have with drew offer and not making contact with myself. I have had rented many properties through bookings . Com and I have never had this problem.
