Very clean and comfortable.

A kitchen was provided with all equipment needed for self-catering purposes. The pool was sparkling clean!! We had a comfortable bed with very fresh linen. We really appreciated our friendly host, who provided a lot of extra information regarding the area of Constantia and Cape Town.

The location for us was perfect. The pool was a welcome bonus and the use of the braai was much appreciated. The accommodation had everything we needed. Loved the fish and the dog also. Oreo is just adorable.

The property was very clean and well equipped. Elzaan could not have been more friendly or helpful. Constantia village is just over the road which was very convenient.

The Reality of the Property: Despite being advertised as an "Entire Place," this is actually a room wedged between the host’s family home and their garage. Privacy was non-existent. There was an internal door to the host’s house located inside our bathroom with the keyhole merely covered by masking tape. In the bedroom there was a door to the garage. Furthermore, a security camera was positioned to look directly toward our room entrance, forcing us to keep curtains closed at all times. We were also never informed that other guests would be staying in another unit on the same property. Facilities & Maintenance: Pool: We arrived to find the pool green with algae. The heating system was broken (unreported by the host prior to arrival). When we complained, the host "shocked" the pool with chlorine but refused to confirm if it was safe for use, stating only, "All you need to know is that it's clean." Bathroom: The shower lacked a U-bend, causing a constant putrid smell, and the toilet cistern was broken and hissing. Noise: A loud motor in the garage ran for 2–3 hours every morning. During our short stay, both the main house fire alarm and the security alarm went off on separate mornings. Host Interaction: After lodging a formal complaint with Booking.com, the host became confrontational and dismissive of health and safety concerns, making the stay untenable. We chose to vacate early as the property was not as described and the environment became hostile. We refused a partial refund on-site to pursue a full dispute via our bank due to the severity of the misrepresentation and subsequent slanderous allegations made by the host. Final Verdict: A nightmare stay. Not recommended for those seeking privacy or the "entire place" they paid for. It is basically a room wedged between their house and their garage.
