La Maison on Vaal Bed and Breakfast

Venue and staff exceeded my expectations by far. Breakfast was great. Would recommend anybody travelling here to book here as soon as possible. Thank you for an all round great travelling experience.

The hosts were awesome they really made us feel at home away from home. I don't think words can express one's feelings. You have to experience it yourself..... Awesome, Awesome, Awesome. We are going to make it a point that we visit each year.

We actually liked everything.

I had a great time staying over. Owner and staff very friendly. Breakfast well done. even had seconds. Norrmal and filter coffee available. Hosts still improving property. They seem to have great plans for the future. I was not restrickted to only 1 cookie from the cookie jar. Good choice of bars around. They do have solar, so lights stay on, beers stay cold. Nice stoep upstairs.

Snacks or cooldrinks for sale. Easier exit and entrance to the property while staying over for more than a few days. I was travelling on a bike, so wet, muddy gravel roads are a no go.

Nothing, the accommodation I booked didn’t reserve my booking, which forced them to refer me to their alternative, which had poor service. The toilet wasn’t flushing, the room smelled horrible, little to no effort in preparing the bedding, and to top it off, I requested a special service in celebration of my partners birthday at an extra cost and only got served and expired chocolate. Didn’t even stay, we just handed the keys and left.

Everything to be honest. Not sure if they are operating as a scam using Bookings.com, however this needs to be looked into.

The host, Githea, was so friendly and helpful. The place was spotlessly clean and the garden immaculate. There was 100% power back-up, so we did not even notice the load-shedding taking place in Deneysville.

A TV in the room would have been a bonus to catch up on some local & international news, and maybe watch a movie before going to sleep. But, sitting outside on the "stoep" in the late afternoon/early evening and sipping a glass of wine was very pleasant.

Quietness and cleaningness. Me and wife really enjoyed the breakfast.

You could hear when people walk upstairs but I'm glad they going to do something about it this year. Wel see when we go again.
