Smiling Places - Apartment in Porto

Everything about the place is perfect. The host picked us up to take us to the apartment. He provide us with food for every day's breakfast. I can highly recommend the place.

I had a wonderful stay and can highly recommend this apartment. Fernando is an exceptionally kind and helpful host. He picked me up from the airport, gave me great tips about Porto and Portugal, and was always quick to respond whenever I had a question. A very nice surprise was the well-stocked fridge on arrival, including fresh fruit, toast, jam and other breakfast items. On my last day, I was also able to leave my luggage at the apartment for an extra hour after check-out, which was greatly appreciated. The location is excellent. The city centre is within walking distance, the train station can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot, and there is a metro and bus stop nearby. Restaurants, bakeries and supermarkets are all just a short walk away. Despite being so well connected, the apartment is very quiet because it faces the back of the building. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. I would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is exactly like the photos and has everything you need, including some groceries like fruits and bread for a first breakfast. Host Fernando is very friendly and accommodating and picked me up from the airport. The apartment is located right next to a convenient Metro stop and you can find some really good restaurants and an excellent bakery around the corner as well. I loved everything about this apartment: the nice balcony, the well equipped kitchen and a very nice bathroom.

There was nothing I didn't like.

Great location for the city. The area was quiet, good local restaurants & about 1km walk to the centre. The apartment had everything, comfortable bed, great shower, kitchen & balcony. Fernando met us & was very friendly & helpful. He had left food essentials & a bottle of wine which we very much appreciated.

The apartment is lovely and has everything you need for a break in Porto - including a balcony to enjoy some quiet outdoor space. The apartment is outside of the main tourist area so you can enjoy a quieter environment, but is easily walkable or you can use the metro (which is just steps away). The main train station is also nearby, and so we were able to visit Aveiro, Guimarães and Braga as day trips on a 3 day tourist rail card. Fernando went above and beyond as a host, driving us from the airport, giving us lots of helpful tips, and checking we were okay. His wife has prepared a lot of useful information for eating/ tourism etc in a book in the apartment. All in all an excellent experience and we would recommend this place to everyone

Location was perfect for access to Metro . The appartment was delightful, the welcome pack was exceptional and the personal contact with Fernando was a bonus. The appartment was comfortable, quiet and very well equipped including bathrobes!

Nothing to dislike.the uncertainly about the lock on front door worried us regarding issues of there was a fire

this apartment and its owners is a pearl. a dream of each traveller. no wonder this lovely little place is called ''smiling places''. as soon as you arrive you will have a smile on your face. a smile of happiness to have temporarily settled in such a cozy, beautiful and friendly environment. and no wonder their overall rating is so impressive, i always choose my accommodation based on ratings and reviews and here nothing more is to be added to the reviews already posted. however, i am surprised why a few of the guests could have rated this place anything lower than 10 - what would such guests expect in order to give full 10? - it was a pure pleasure to meet fernando and see his enthusiasm and passion with which he welcomes the guests and takes care of this amazing apartment. muito obrigado e ate a proxima!

Beautiful, clean and bright apartment with equipped kitchen, balcony and own access code to the apartment. The photos correspond to reality. The Cherry on the cake is a bathrobe and ironing utensils. The apartment has a strategic location (Camphana train station - 5 minutes on foot, Heroisimo metro right next to the apartment, city center about 15 minutes on foot), close to bars, restaurants, groceries... There is no need to use the metro, everything can be walked. I would highlight Fernando's hospitality the most(we had fresh fruit, milk, juices, cheese, bread, ham, butter etc👌❤️ at our disposal), his willingness to take time to pick us up from the airport, his friendliness and humanity. Fernando provided us with all the necessary information that we needed and used for a beautiful experience. We really appreciate that we could leave our luggage on the day of departure in the 🫶👌 apartment. Many landlords should take an example from Fernando on how to do business. 💪😘👌. Porto is beautiful 🍇🍷and I recommend visiting Braga as well. Thank you for everything. Growing and ivka🫶❤️🙌

Fernando ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Bei längerem Aufenthalt kostenlose Reinigung möglich. Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig, trotzdem ist man hervorragend angebunden.

Das Bett ist sehr kurz. Für eine große Person in Ordnung, für zwei große Personen eher ungeeignet. Die Nachbarschaft ist zwar ruhig, das Haus ist allerdings sehr hellhörig.
