"Excellent comfortable family run hotel."

The room was comfortable and the bed was excellent. There was a coffee machine and kettle with ample coffee, tea and hot chocolate. Breakfast was buffet style and of a reasonable standard, the cooked vegetarian breakfast was ample and very tasty.

My room was facing the Main Street and I did notice traffic noise after 6am. I also returned to the hotel at 11pm and the main entrance was closed. There was a bell but I noticed the lights were still on in the bar. I managed to find an open door from the smoking area into the bar much to the surprised of the young man cleaning the floor! He apologised and explained that he had been told that all guests were in the hotel. A swipe card entrance for guests or information on the procedure to follow if the main entrance is closed would be useful.
