"Gatehouse of gloom"

3.0

The view, but others would appreciate other aspects: Spartans, you will love the cold, hard, cement floors. Back-packers, you'll love the squeaky, shaking beds and sagging mattresses. Alopecians, the lack of shampoo or a hair-drier won't worry you at all. Arachnophiles, you'll find the spiderwebs endlessly entertaining. The visually impaired won't worry about the lack of signage sending you on a fruitless search at night. You will also appreciate the lack of furniture that won't trip you up on the way to the bathroom at night and won't find it daunting to find the bed after you turn the light off at the wall. Early birds, don't worry about setting an alarm! You will appreciate being awoken by light streaming in from the skylight shortly after sunrise. Those of questionable sexual orientation will love the cold shower curtain clinging to your wet body like a long-lost lover. Sado-masochists will love the water that is either boiling or freezing, no silly mixer-taps for you! The kitchen implements, knives and meat cleaver hanging handily on butcher hooks in the kitchen will be tempting, but you need to resist because your bed awaits...there is a lovely crisp, clean sheet and a fluffy feather duvet, so you can choose between being too cold or too hot, or, you can, like I did, alternate every few minutes, sending the bed into spasms of squeaks and shakes, making everyone avoid direct eye contact with you in the morning, however, you are aware of admiring glances when they think you're not looking at them. This place is a great backpackers retreat-with-a-view, but this reality is not reflected in the rates.

Nothing.

"A great 'get away from it all' batch. Beautiful native bush."

View, location and batchiness

The toilet roll holder needs to be away from the shower. It gets wet.
