Friendly staff, good location (a few blocks walk from Centro), room was clean and comfortable. A small heater was provided for the chilly winter nights. Fridge and shower both worked fine.

Our specific room had very little light. A motion sensor in the entrance would be nice (the hallway is dark at night). Note: you will need to meet the owner when you arrive (not always someone on the premises), so make sure your arrival time is accurate!

Communication with the owner was a bit hard... We had some issues with the water in the first two days, hot water ran out the first day and we had some time without water at all on the second day. Both got fixed later on. The room was really cold at night and in the mornings, and there was no heating as described on booking. We wrote the owner both on WhatsApp and on booking but got no reply for the first two days. Later on it got better and she even bought a small heater, but it was after we insisted and we had to deal with it for a bit which is never nice on a vacation.

In short, more than disappointing, booked 10 nights stay, and had to move out in 5. (Never done that before in all of my travels). Check in: Permitted early check in at 12:30 and room seemed ok. Language barriers was hard, but with google conversation, I was able to get basic information. Room: Stove top is a tiny electric core and does not generate heat to boil water. Water pressure is low. Very small sink and toilet, not for the more full bodied person. Humidity: Don’t know how better to explain other than extremely humid for no good reason. Washed clothes and towel does not dry in 3 days. No natural air, and had to keep the door open to get some air. Electricity: For whatever reason, when I used the hair dryer, the circuit breaker will go off after about 30 second usage. Tried it in many plugs, but did not help. Contacted host, but without reply Light: No natural lights into the room and feels like a “box”, and constantly feel that we need to get out of the room. It did not feel comfortable Bathroom: Often water is out and once stopped in the middle of the shower late morning, without any warning from Host.

Moving Out: After 5 days, I had to move out and asked the host for partial refund. Told the host, but without reply for many hours. Eventually told us to call Booking. So, we called bookings and they suggested we move out. They tried to call and email the host. But host refused to reply. I also texted host, but she (Patricia) stated to call bookings. So I moved out to another place, took pictures and left key. Bookings was trying to help me, and told me that Host must reply to email before anything can be done. But Host after 3 days, still did not reply to me or Bookings. After 5 days, bookings told me that Host replied and offered partial refund. Host never replied back to me. Other suggestions: If you were to decide staying there, make sure you message host on Booking website, as web keep track of response time. If the host ask you to text them by WhatsApp, I would suggest you not to, as there is no incentive or monitoring to be responsive.

The location is great, feels safe place.

We had super hot water in the shower and the pressure of cold water was very low. They sent a plumber to fix the problem but it remained all the time we were staying.

It was clean, comfortable bed and close to the centre

The room was in pretty bad shape. We had an issue with the cleaning and the place was full of insects. We had to leave and did not finish our stay there.
