I recently booked a stay with hosts Dee and Sophia, having paid the full amount in advance through the platform. Unfortunately, upon arrival, I was completely denied access to the property despite having a confirmed reservation. The hosts requested additional payments outside the official booking system before they would consider granting entry—an unusual and concerning demand that raised immediate red flags. When I was unable to comply, no further assistance was provided. I was left waiting outside in very cold weather for an extended period with no shelter or resolution. The emergency contact number listed proved unreachable despite repeated attempts via call and message. There was no on-site office, reception, staff member, or alternative point of contact available, leaving me entirely without support in a vulnerable situation. While the listing features numerous highly positive reviews praising the hosts as communicative, helpful, and attentive, the stark contrast between those accounts and my own experience is troubling. Many appear to follow a similar pattern of effusive, generalized praise that could plausibly originate from personal connections (such as family or friends) rather than independent travelers. This discrepancy undermines confidence in the overall credibility of the feedback. I strongly advise prospective guests to exercise extreme caution before booking with Dee and Sophia. This was not merely a disappointing stay—it involved financial loss, significant inconvenience, exposure to harsh conditions, and what felt like a deliberate failure to deliver the agreed-upon service. I have reported the matter to the platform and recommend others do the same if they encounter similar issues. Potential guests deserve transparency and reliability; this experience fell far short of those standards.

This was an amazing place to stay, check in and out was so easy, the room was warm, inviting, comfortable and so welcoming after a long day working. As a freelancer places like this make missing home that little bit lighter! I would recommend this lovely place to anyone!

Nothing, everything was perfect!

There was more than what I needed for a two night stay at this quiet location. Not too far to walk from Sheffield train station. The room was relatively large, warm and clean along with the shower room and toilet. I wasn't expecting a small fridge in the room and found it most useful. I loved the table top ironing board so much that I ordered one. I'm struggling to think of something that wasn't available! Great communication with Ester, thank you. Norfolk Park Rooms is ideal if you're travelling with a budget airline and hand luggage only as everything is there waiting for you, you only need to flick the kettle on!
