Dazzling 1 Bed Apartment in Clifton

This is a beautiful flat - very stylish and central and well equipped. Perfect for a couple of nights. We had our son on the pull out sofa bed which he said was comfy but there is no door to the living room and no curtains so not very private for the third person

The apartment is furnished as shown in the photos. Clifton is a pleasant area.

No properly functioning lock and key were provided, resulting in significant, avoidable inconvenience and distress. Unacceptable at this price. Upon arrival, the external light was not functioning and so it was difficult to locate the correct key safe (there are several). After accessing the key, I had some difficulty opening the front door (which the neighbours were also aware of). I managed somehow to access the front door. The common parts were dilapidated. On my first morning, I went outside on an errand. Upon returning, I could not get the key to open the front door. It kept spinning in the lock. I tried for over 1 hour without success. I rang all the doorbells in the block but nobody was answering or available. A nearby contractor saw me struggling and tried to help but couldn't open it either. Eventually, after many phone calls, the local affiliated hotel managed to send over a contractor who managed to open it. Apparently, there's a 'knack' to it. But even their instructions on the 'knack' were inaccurate. Neither the owner nor the managment company thought to share this information with their guests beforehand. I was seriously inconvenienced as I could not get to work on time for an urgent appointment. I was locked outside, turning the key in the lock hundreds of times to no avail and with no guarantee that I would be able to get in and proceed with my own business, all because of the owner's default. I requested a refund of 30% to reflect the serious inconvenience I experienced owing to the above. My request was not responded to for 7 days. The response then suggested they were waiting for me to provide further details, which was not correct. My ability to leave a review was suddenly disabled on or around the time that the managment refused a partial refund. I complained to the managment (who denied that they had disabled my ability to leave a review). My ability to review was eventually restored.

the apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely decorated

the biggest issue was not being able to get into the main door. on the second night despite following the instructions it took us half an hour - this resulted in us having to call the hotel at 11pm on the door step and wait in the cold and dark. they advised that others had called before us and couldn't understand why it hadn't been fixed. there was also no tea, and no proper coffee or machine/caffetiere to make it and no tea towels. the kitchen cupboards were not well organised which was frustrating as we cooked throughout our stay. you also can't park outside the property.
