Sigma Theta Homes - Kumasi Atimatim

We had a fantastic stay at Sigma Theta Homes - Kumasi Atimatim. Our hosts were incredibly welcoming, readily available to offer assistance. The property was clean, comfortable, with a large compound. The kids couldn’t have enough playing and running around. The kitchen and bathrooms are modern and properly served our needs. The powerful air conditions in the bedrooms meant our nights were serene in the hot Ghana weather. My greatest joy was the standby generator which readily restored electricity whenever there was power outage in the town and surroundings. The location makes it easy to access the city centre and all the important places one will line to visit in Kumasi.

The only inconvenience is the access road, but I noticed that’s a national problem.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Sigma Theta Homes in Kumasi, Atimatim and it was a delightful experience. The property itself is new and well-maintained, offering all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. The rooms were clean, spacious, and tastefully decorated, making it feel like a home away from home. The host, Matthew was incredibly hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. If anything was missing, he ensured it was provided as soon as he was informed. The location is convenient, providing easy access to local attractions and amenities. However, I must mention that the road leading to the property was not in the best condition, which was a bit of a drawback. It made the journey to and from the place somewhat challenging, especially if you're not accustomed to rough roads. Despite this minor inconvenience, Sigma Theta Homes is a fantastic choice for anyone visiting the area. The quality of the accommodation and the warmth of the host more than make up for the bumpy ride. I highly recommend this place and would gladly stay here again in the future.

Location and house as pictured. Clean space. We were three people but this comfortably sleeps 6. Very comfortable mattresses. 2 bedrooms downstairs and 1 upstairs. Bedroom 1 downstairs has A/C and corridor access to washroom. Bedroom 2 no A/C, but ensuite access to the washroom. Bedroom 3 upstairs had A/C and ensuite bathroom. Matthew and Clement were both very helpful. The minor issues described below (tv, internet) were not so important to us so we didn’t mention them or push for resolution. We had a senior with a bad knee in our group, she could not go upstairs, we relocated a folding table to downstairs so we had a communal area.

Water seemed to run out twice a day. Power outages (usual for this area). Television wasn’t working at the time, not critical for us though. Wifi was intermittent, but we had cell phones with data. No towels, hand towels, or dish rags were provided. Even dishes were sparse. You need to bring with you what you need.
