Modern 2Bed House - Walk to Station & High Street, Near Surrey Hills & Denbies Vineyard

Liked the decor, great little space for what we needed. Close to convince store.

Lack of mirrors, even just one in the living area close to a plug would have been useful, with 3 of us getting ready for a wedding. Thankfully I had read the reviews and brought a decent mirror with me.

Good location. Clean and modern and comfortable.

No mirrors in bedrooms. Pillows not great. One bed mattress was really good the other bed needs a more expensive mattress. Maybe leave tea and coffee.

The location was convenient for our needs although it was ugly if we had wanted scenic views. The place was clean and all the equipment worked. There were plenty of electrical outlets.

The layers of administration appeared to be designed to block any meaningful interaction with the hosts. We inquired early on if we could shift our dates one day on to match a change in our flight dates. There was never a reply from the hosts. We had to pay for one night we did not stay there and move to a motel for our last night, On arrival the key to the property was obtained from keysnest at a nearby shop. After collecting it, we couldn't open the door to the point that we went back to the shop to check it was the correct key. The shop assistant contacted the hosts and their reply was to try again! Eventually we got in, but the key was stuck in the lock and we then reported that. We would not be able to stay with the exposure of a key in the entrance. The hosts requested that we video the stuck key, which we did. After spending quite a long time on this issue, the key eventually came out. The hosts were informed that it was free then, but unreliable and our request for a locksmith still stood. The reply was that they would be looking into it. Nothing further was done. Eventually, we acquired some WD40 and fixed it ourselves. We also used the WD40 on the hinges to that door which were extremely noisy. Following that, we reported that there was a constant flow of water into the bathtub that could not be turned off. It had been like that from our arrival and became worse with use. We sent a video and suggested that the next water bill would reflect the leak. We got almost the exact same standard reply as the key episode - that they would look into it, but no further action was taken while we were there. The stairs were steep, but the railing was useless having been installed against the wall for half the distance and could not be gripped. The beds were nearly the whole size of the bedrooms leaving such a small gap between the foot of the beds and the wall, it difficult to navigate from the far side of the double beds if two people were using them.

Nicely decorated, all facilities as described. Great location in the centre of Dorking.

Your front door is on a back alley , Washing machine with no washing rack to hang your washing No big enough pot to cook anything decent No bedside tables in the bedrooms No cupboards in the bedrooms No mirrors anywhere of any use Not even a chest of draws to put your socks and undies in Neighbours extremely close and extremely loud

Nice inside, typical mid atlantic decor. Good shower.

A bit dodgy outside - not quite an alley, but definitely “round the back” and a noisy with the windows open on a summer’s evening. Note the unusually early check out time when you book

Lack of parking not great - luckily a neighbour gave us his space in the car park at the end of the road. Location to Main Street good but I didn’t like the actual road the house is on - lined with wheelie bins and very narrow for driving to unload car and also a bit unnerving if I’d been alone coming back early hours. A large mirror would have been a welcome addition somewhere in the house - we were staying for a wedding and couldn’t check how we looked. Not a huge deal but this is the only property I’ve stayed in which didn’t have a welcome pack waiting - even a pint of milk and tea/coffee would have been gratefully received.
