Aurora Boutique Hotel & Private SPA Etruria Collection has an excellent location in the heart of Spoleto, and that is definitely its strongest point. The city is easily explored on foot, and everything is close by. It is also important to mention that the hotel cannot be blamed for the construction works currently taking place around the area, even though they do affect the overall atmosphere a little. That said, in our opinion this is not really a true boutique hotel, at least not in terms of style and overall condition. Parts of the property feel rather dated and worn. Some rooms were spacious and comfortable, while others were quite small, so the experience depends a lot on which room you get. Breakfast was acceptable but fairly average and not particularly memorable. The staff was professional and correctl. Personally, I did not notice any cleanliness issues, but some of my travel companions did, so it is worth mentioning. Overall, it is a solid hotel for a short stay because of the fantastic location, but expectations should be aligned with the actual condition of the property rather than the “boutique hotel” label and promotional photos.
