GBThe autumn scenery around the cottage was spectacular, and, along with the logburner, created a worderfully cozy vibe. The hosts pets were incredably friendly, and very well behaved
The wood in the bathroom had an odd discolouring round the edges, and the shower curtian let water onto the floor

GBLovely quiet and rural location. Lovely cosy cottage. The log burner was wonderful & there were electric heaters to warm the place up while the log burner took effect. Wood for the log burner was in plentiful supply in a wood store at the property. Owners, although we didn't meet them (due to our late arrival), were very communicative and helpful with requests. They had put the lights on for our late arrival & had left tea, coffee, sugar, bread, butter & jam for us. Shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel were also provided in the bathroom. If you're looking for a lovely cosy cottage in a peaceful location, this is it.
The stairs to the second twin room are very steep, and not for those with any mobility issues. Plus, the bedroom has a very low, sloping ceiling and is therefore far more suited to children (but I think the owners make mention of this). The lane leading to the cottage narrows into a single lane (typical of rural settings), but drivers should be aware of this (and it's the price you pay for such a lovely quiet location. A minor thing to add (but not a criticism) is that the provision of a bathmat (to avoid stepping out onto the tiles) and a hand towel in the bathroom, along with a tea towel in the kitchen, would be really useful.
