Snug, Dog Friendly, Country Cottage

Everything Exellent

The cottage was ultra clean and it was very comfortable. Our host sent some helpful tips in advance with directions, wifi code etc which was much appreciated. There was a small private, immaculate enclosed garden which was great for our dog. The heaters worked well and made the property cosy. There is a good smart tv which is easy to use

The bathroom is very small and cramped and the shower curtain was a bit manky at the bottom. We couldn’t find any egg cups Salt and pepper were provided which was great (not all hosts provide these) but not milk (most do) and I had forgotten to pack some, so we couldn’t make hot drinks after a long drive. I think a pint of milk in the fridge would have made our stay even nicer.

No vanity unit in the bedroom or mirror

The good bit was it was nice and clean and the bed was comfy. But dogs were not allowed on the settee and chair, which was quite hard when it’s supposed to be dog friendly and they usually sit with us on ours at home. Also not allowed upstairs. Other places we have visited make provisions with either asking you to bring your own covers or they supply covers for you so your dogs can sit with you.

We had a job to fine the entrance, even when we were in the yard it was quite confusing as there was no sign to say GARDENERS REST CAR PARK, The entrance back on to the road was not good either as the nettles and weeds were to high to pull out safely, as the vehicles approaching on the right side were going much too fast most of the time. No light over the grass area so couldn’t see what dogs were doing at night time. The fence was not as secure as we first thought. No draws in the bedroom to put clothes in, had to leave case on the floor. Hit my head on bedroom ceiling nearly every day ( it didn’t look that bad on picture) No mirror to put make up on or see what your clothing looks like etc. Needs to add some little extras for the price, ie :- Tray to take cuppa and sandwich out on to the picnic table, Kitchen Roll, better quality toilet roll, it was so thin !! No tin opener !! So I’m sorry to say we won’t be staying here again.

Had everything you needed. Perfect location and comfortable. Smart TV and coffee machine are great assets!
