The Pier Ateliers

Fantastic location - easy bike ride into city centre (orange “Donkey” bike hire is cheap and easy), great restaurants within the building, supermarket 1 minute walk, lovely (but not noisy) vibe in the area. Nice local tips in very useful online handbook (although a few restaurants suggestions were outdated). Good that the TV had Netflix in a few languages and kitchen is adequately equipped. Very cool view from room and stunning (communal) roof terrace. Comfy beds and good linen. Washing machine very handy.

I thought it was quite expensive (the quality of the furniture needs to be a bit better for that price) and the lack of storage space for clothes (and luggage) was irritating. The bathroom door didn’t close properly and couldn’t be locked. (Just put a simple hook on the inside so it can be secured closed.) Why not put a clothes rack in the cupboard with the washing machine - not everyone (nor every garment) likes a tumble drier. The mattress topper was a mystery - seemed unnecessary and kept slipping off.

The location is lovely; you can find a bakery, 2 supermarkets, and restuarants just on the ground floor. The apartment is spacious and they have all that you need, including washing detergant that's hypoallergenic. They provided a crib and high chair.

I found the apartment dark. I wish it had more light. You might consider using the private parking that they offer to avoid getting a parking ticket.

- Recieved the apartment in disgusting state. Bad smell. spider web in the room. unknown dirty material under bedsheets. and yellowish bed covers. - No Air conditioning. a fan exists in the bedroom but with no nearby plug to connect it. - the Sofa doesn’t turn to a bed as explained before the stay. - The roof terrace is in-accessible because of the construction and I was not informed beforehand. (it was the main reason I chose the apartment!) Overall very bad experience and when I contact the property to solve an issue their help is useless. I asked them to take care of the smell and dirt. they came and only changed the towels and bedsheets and the stitch was still there.
