I have stayed at Rumah Kayu Mataraja Villa several times. It is not in a tourist area so no hustle and bustle. Lovely walks around the area. Great facilities at the villa and great, cheap, local food stalls within 500 meters if you don't want to cook for yourself. Highly recommend as a real escape.

GOOD SERVICE AND COMFORTABLE.

This was the third time I have stayed at Rumah Kayu Mataraja Villa and I will come back again. The facilities and the privacy it offers are great. It is far away from the tourist crowds. Walking through the nearby villages and ricefields, the local people are very friendly.

The Villa was like heaven on earth, surounded by nature and the puppy who stayed there was really friendly, the manager asked to take him but i told him to leave him with me, Mr wayan helped me during my stay as the application Grab wasnt available, i liked the kitchen and the spring water, also a +700 banyan tree is 5 minutes by car from the location, had a great experience and learned a lot by staying there, Thank you

when i checked in it was clean but as its in nature gekko poop was starting to apear in the bathroom, i thought it was a rat poop but after researches its gekko, the cealing need cleaning, its on the main road so a little noisy

This is the second time I have stayed at Rumah Kayu Mataraja Villa. It is a great place to relax, take some quiet walks and invigorate. Great little villages to walk through in the surrounding area. The property is completely private with all the comforts you need. A short walk into Desa Tua - the adjacent village - to buy some supplies or eat at a local warung.

Questo posto è magico. Sei immerso nella natura. È così tranquillo e accogliente. C’è tutto ciò di cui hai bisogno. Cucina attrezzatissima. Asciugamani a volontà. Interni arredati con gusto. Giardino fantastico. Pak è stato fantastico, super disponibile. Non hanno motorini da affittare, ma lí accanto c’è una guesthouse che li affitta. In zona non arrivano grab, ma se hai il motorino ti muovi benissimo. L’area è fantastica, ci sono tante cose da vedere e soprattutto non è per niente caotica. Accanto alla casa ci sono supermarket e posti carini dove mangiare. Volevamo addirittura allungare il nostro soggiorno, ma alla fine non abbiamo potuto. Mi ricorderò per sempre di questo posto, qua puoi davvero ritrovare te stesso. Grazie 🙏🏻

The property was exactly what we needed, a peaceful getaway from the business that Bali can be. Mr Wayan was incredibly helpful with local things to see and helped us arrange a scooter to get around to further locations. He was there on arrival and gave us a tour of the facilities. There is a well equipped kitchen and the property is walking distance from the local shops and warungs to stock up on ingredients. The local fishing spot was under renovation at the time of our stay but we found a warung 5 minutes up the road (Mina Ayu warung makan dan kolam pancing) that offered fishing. The bed was soft and the water was hot. The pool water is from a spring and made my skin feel so soft. Incredibly happy with our stay!

The waterfall is quite loud when trying to sleep. Not much can be done about it as we had a heavy amount of rain come through during our stay. Sleeping with earplugs certainly helped.
