Villa Milani - Tenuta la Gigliola

We traveled to Tuscany for a family wedding. We needed a stay that could accommodate various family members of all ages. Although the villa itself was a tiny difficult to find (two different gates you could access, once we found it, it was a little oasis. The house is very large, with many rooms so that it didn't feel like we were all cramped and we could park all of our cars. It was convenient to all of our wedding locations and the nearby town of Montespertoli had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

Slightly more clarity on which gate to access would've been helpful (or just point us towards the Osteria that's right next to one of the gates)

La villa est magnifique et elle a de très belles et grandes pièces communes. Très bel ensemble même s’il nécessite des rénovations. Le tout situé dans un beau parc arboré. Elle est bien située dans cette région du sud de Florence. Dans la villa, il y a, contrairement au descriptif, 3 chambres avec 2 lits à 1 place, et non 2, car au RDC ce sont aussi 2 lits séparés. Chaque chambre a une salle de douche ou baignoire : confort pour tous.

Mais cette villa est très mal équipée et son descriptif est faux : piscine pas ouverte le 20 avril, (et sans clôture), BBQ loin de la maison, pas de WIFI, eau que tiède après 48h (et on nous a répondu "soyez patients" quand on s'en étonnait !), très mauvais écoulement des canalisations douches, grande table sur la terrasse en très mauvais état donc inutilisable. Dans la cuisine même pas 1 petit couteau de cuisine, ni 1 pour éplucher les légumes, pas de bouilloire électrique, aucun mixer, grille-pain minuscule et pas pratique, surtout pour 13 personnes.

Interni e lo spazio stupendi

La posizione della villa ci è piaciuta, così come la struttura, che è bella e ha sicuramente potenziale. Gli spazi comuni sono davvero grandi, il che offre ottime possibilità per gruppi numerosi.

Purtroppo il soggiorno è stato deludente per molti aspetti. All’arrivo Elena ci ha proposto un’alternativa che non era adatta al nostro gruppo di 16 persone. La cucina era scarsamente fornita, la macchinetta del caffè non funzionava, mancavano frullatori e un seggiolino adatto ai tavoli. In diversi ambienti si percepiva odore di umidità, c’erano crepe sui muri, i termosifoni non funzionavano, l’acqua calda era insufficiente e il Wi-Fi assente. L’acqua della vasca non defluiva, segno di tubi intasati, e l’ingresso alla tenuta era fatiscente e poco segnalato. Inoltre la proprietaria ci ha detto che avrebbe dovuto farci pagare di più se avessimo usato troppa legna, nonostante il riscaldamento funzionasse a stento. Nel complesso, la villa ha bisogno di ristrutturazione e di una maggiore cura per poter essere davvero accogliente e adatta agli ospiti.

It was an amazing experience with very friendly and undesratndable hosts.

We were a very large group celebrating my birthday. The hosts greeted us warmly, brought us lovely wine from the winery and addressed a small issue with the coffeemaker very quickly. Walkable to a lovely restaurant.

We had lots of room for all. A reasonably equipped kitchen. Privacy without feeling to isolated.
