Beautiful finished apartment in great central location.

Unfortunately the heating had been switched off on the coldest day of the year. Customer service was very helpful to get the heating working again. Unfortunately it took 24 for the apartment to become comfortably warm so the owners Polkastays.com kindly gave us a 50% discount off the first night and a further 20% off any future bookings with them.

The property was very comfortable and clean with lovely furnishings and a great location.

The only downside was that the wifi signal in the ensuite room was a bit poor.

Only one key between 5 of us - unable to open main door remotely from apartment so had to walk up and down the stairs to allow others in. When asked the host about this we were told this was a security issue and intercom access will be available in the New Year…… No hot water to shower when we arrived back from sightseeing at 6pm. Contacted host and was instructed to use the ‘boost’ button by the boiler. Apparently this is on a timer and the host suggested this was because previous guests have ‘messed about’ with the timer hence it didn’t come on. If this had happened before I would have thought the host would ensure that the timer would be set correctly after each change over. The use of the ‘boost’ button would have been useful information to be given with the handbook sent. Had to wait for the water to warm up before we could shower and not ‘instantaneous’ as the host suggested. One of the taps in the bathroom is almost hanging off and turns the wrong way :-( TV doesn’t work properly - we managed to switch it on but the remote doesn’t work. Possibly battery issue but previous guests have complained about the TV so it doesn’t look like the hosts are taking on board any comments or suggestions!

The noise levels immediately outside the apartment(not on street level), right outside our door. People shouting until 0617 through the night, WiFi was broken, heating we couldn’t get to work for agessss, the tvs wouldn’t work as wasn’t connected to the non working WiFi. Very disappointing.
