Luxury Bahay Kubo in a Farm Near Tagaytay

I have to be very objective and fair on this review . as a traveller I know that reviews help other travellers like me make informed decisions . The positives - the location is beautiful. It’s remote , the views breathtaking, sunsets are stunning. The house itself is spacious and the beds comfortable . The staff Sante and Efren are so helpful and could not do more. Almost like having a butler on hand . The plunge pool is nice , lights at night . The boys enjoyed this and lived in it every day .

There was no working fridge , only freezer. To keep things fresh or at least try I had to keep things like milk , juice and meat in the freezer then take them out and put them in the fridge to try and maintain a cool temperature. I made a lot of ice as well to try . So much time spent time trying to firefight . There was no oven with 4 electric hobs as advertised , only one hob . No microwave. The photos were old. There were no hot showers at all. The remote control for the TVS were so overused / no working batteries - you had to press so hard to try and turn the TV on - not that we needed that much but would have been nice to watch a film at night via Netflix but this remote situation made this impossible . The worst part is how filthy some areas were - the downstairs shower cubicle had very thick limescale build up , hair on the drain, cobwebs on the corners. There is an overwhelming stench in the upstairs bathroom. The shower drain was clogged with so much dirt and hair . The wardrobe upstairs was mould ridden. One of the Blinds upstairs was broken This stay left such a bad experience. I had a back and forth with the owner who was AWARE of the lack of facilities but chose NOT to inform me prior to my arrival which would have made me cancel this entirely and chose a different accommodation. I asked for a partial refund and in the end settled with a small amount , it was like bidding wars . Frankly it was the principle , there is no amount that would have been suffice to the bad experience we had . This was a treat to my family and it turned out to be a disappointment.
