St Benedict - Victorian Bed and Breakfast

The hosts were the heart and soul of the property. I can't begin to tell you how fabulous this place is, especially if you are an antique and story collector like me. The hosts were just amazing and happy to indulge me in my questions and to show me hidden secrets in the house. The gardens are stunning with a plethora of fruit and vegetables with butterflies fluttering about. Just magical. I loved it. The design of the hotel was nothing short of spectacular. Each space had its own personality, elegance and timeless charm. From the richly patterned wallpapers to the carefully curated art pieces, every detail seemed to tell a story. Beyond the beauty, the hotel’s comfort was on par with its aesthetic. My room was HUGE, the bed like a canopied cloud, and the amenities top-notch. There was high-speed Wi-Fi and tea and home made cake served in the drawing room upon arrival.

Unusual but wonderful place to stay - like stepping back in time. Convenient location - 10 min walk from beach and bars/ restaurants on the front. Plenty of on street parking available.

It was a lovely and historical place to stay for a short visit to Hastings.

The decore and the fact that it was a most interesting change from the modern norm. Food was exceptional and the surroundings and gardens really reflected the period of the property. Many original rare architectural and furnishing features and fittings.

The taps were hard to turn on and off.
