Very well located apartment, clean and well set up

The arrangements for check in and check out weren’t clear

Location was great - right next to the town square. Apartment was perfect for the week. Very spacious.

make sure to not confused the water heater switch for a light switch.... or else you will have cold showers.

All of my communications with the host prior to arriving were excellent. Every question was answered and my expectations were met. The host was so nice to meet me and explain everything upon arrival. If you do not speak Italian, have your translator app ready. The location is excellent off of the piazza, and I felt very safe and secure in the apartment every night. The a/c is awesome, the WiFi worked perfectly and everything was clean. I stayed two weeks and the host left me clean sheets and enough towels for the second week (request extra towels if you are more than 1 guest). From pre arrival to check out the process was seamless, friendly and easy.

Although the location suited my needs, it is off a busy road with a lot of traffic and party goers on certain nights of the week. It is a “central location” and bit noisy if you are light sleeper. Since I was there two weeks, I would have preferred a unit with laundry. The shower was cumbersome to use. There is one hand-held nozzle with no curtain and water gets everywhere if you are not careful. You must hold the nozzle in order to use it or it will spray all over the floor. I think a curtain would be beneficial. There are a lot of steps getting to the apartment, which was fine for me, but if you have any mobility issues, it may be a problem. The bed wasn’t very comfortable and neither were the sheets and blankets. (Maybe I am bit spoiled?)

The apartment is clean and perfectly positioned right next to the main piazza. The bedroom is sat back from the balcony - it doesn’t have any windows in the bedroom, however I didn’t mind because it meant it was very quiet and dark at night. The kitchen/diner/bathroom are very bright and the balcony is great. I was greeted warmly by the whole family, which was a lovely introduction to Salemi.

An iron and washing machine would have been helpful, but I made do without it and I’m sure the host would have been very happy to help me if I had asked for it.

Fantastic property newly renovated. Very clean and tidy. Everything you need. Fantastic hosts. Bathroom spotless and equipped with toiletries. Has both heating and air conditioning. Fantastic WiFi. Let us stay longer as we had a night flight which was very kind. My daughter loved the bunk bed and found it very comfortable. Easy parking. Nice 2 min walk to cafe in morning. Will definitely come back. Morning coffee views a delight. Thank you.
