Finn's Hideaway -Modern family river home

It was beautiful and secluded. When we first drove up we thought, holy crap are we going the right way. Down a one lane dirt road... but it was stunning. It was well stocked, beds were really comfortable and the living room was a dream. This place really is a dream. We spent a week and it really was fantastic for us. It was about at 20 minute drive to Nauvoo, which was beautiful. We saw deer, coyotes, a very chubby racoon and lots of beautiful sunsets.

The only issue I had was a rented it because it had a main level bedroom and bathroom for my elderly inlaws. However it was tiny and was a split entry so you had stairs regardless. The bathroom down stairs was beautiful, but difficult to get into the shower. The loft was stunning, beautiful setup, but is very difficult to get any luggage up those stairs, but we did and it was worth it. The overall stay was phenomenal. Just wanted to let everyone know about mobility issues.

Huge place, lots of amenities, beautiful view, owners were very helpful, no neighbors

Need a banister on stairs going to lower level on both sides,not just the one side ( kind of scary for older people)

It was beautiful and perfect in every way. The kids loved the play area. The towels were heated, the kitchen spotless, and the beds comfy. I will be staying there again!

The pool table would not release the balls to play pool with. That was just a small thing. She even had quarters for it there.

Beautiful, welcoming and responsive host.

Everything especially the view at night and then the seclusion altogether.

There is really nothing at all that I did not like besides so much gravel go get to the home due to me having a low vehicle.

Great location for access to Nauvoo. Nice wooded area. Host was kind and left extras to enjoy. Nice fireplace. Lots of room . Loved the pool table. Upstairs bathroom was very nice.

Windows and window sills needed cleaning but all else was clean. Stairs to top floor were very narrow, curved, and had no railing so was a bit dangerous—we kept children and seniors clear of it.

Great location - away from noise and city. View of Mississippi River, lots of windows, great kitchen and things for cooking, comfy bed on main and upper floor. Downstairs more suitable for kids. Nice area to grill.

Stairway to 3rd floor not good for seniors - needs railing! Only shower that is good for those with less mobility is also up there. No curtains on large west windows really heats up the upper floor on hot days, and wakes you up very early in AM.
