White LUX apartments next to the Old town with free parking

A very nice, spacious apartment with clean and attractive furnishings. Free parking in the courtyard. Windows facing the courtyard, completely quiet at night. Right next to the city center and train station. If we go to Riga again, we will stay here again.

Parking in the courtyard is possible after calling the landlord between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Outside these hours, it is not possible to enter through the gate because there is no way to open it without calling and the landlord is not available outside these hours. The fold-out bed in the smaller bedroom was more like a 1.5 bed than a double bed. My husband unfolded the couch in the living room, which wasn't a problem, but it's good to know. Also, we would appreciate single blankets on the beds instead of one double blanket :-).

Scammers! We booked this place only because of the promised free parking. When we arrived – there was no parking at all, the yard was completely full. The host’s “solution” was ridiculous: he told us to block all the other cars (there were about 10 of them), leave a note with our number, and just wait for a call whenever someone wanted to leave. What does that mean? That you can’t go anywhere, can’t enjoy your trip, just sit and wait around like a guard for your own car. When we told him this was unacceptable and that he had misled us, he refused any compromise. Our family holiday with kids was ruined, and no refund was given – neither by the host, nor by Booking. So beware: “free parking” here does NOT mean you actually get parking. Fraudsters! Don’t be fooled. Absolutely NOT recommended!

Wjazd i wyjazd z parkingu wyłącznie na telefon i wyłącznie w godz 9.00-21.00. to można rozwiązać jednak przystępniej.

La localisation de l’appartement est bien pratique car situé tout près de la gare et du marché. Le monument de la liberté puis le centre-ville ne sont pas loin non plus. Bien que situé près d’une grande artère l’appartement donne sur une cour intérieure et est donc calme. Attention car au moment de réserver nous ne savions pas quel appartement allait nous être attribué (il y a des photos sur l’annonce qui en fait correspondent à des appartements différents). Tout semble dans l’appartement et les équipements de qualité.

L’appartement est un peu sombre et la vue sur la cour n’est pas des plus esthétiques. Il manque des rangements dans la salle de bain et notamment de quoi poser ses affaires. La deuxième chambre était assez petite et nous avons dû fouiller pour trouver du linge de lit pour le canapé convertible.

Dzīvokļa interjers izveidots gaumīgi un ar stilu. Pārdomāti un praktiski. Bija pieejams viss , kas nepieciešamas ikdienas lietošanai. Pavisam netālu atrodas lielie iepirkšanās centri un Vecrīgas rajons.

Autostāvvieta ļoti ierobežota , un šaura. Lielāka izmēra automašīnu novietot pat ir bīstami. Tāpēc bezmaksas autostāvvietu varējām izmantot tikai ceļojuma somu nogādāšanai dzīvoklī. Pati dzīvokļa ēka atrodas slēgtā sētas teritorijā un skats no logiem ir uz pretējās mājas sienām. Tā nav ielas ēka , kā norādīts Booking.com informācijā. Dušas telpa apvienota ar WC- ļoti maza, šaura un neērta.

Apartment is good, bright and clean

Parking is awful. It’s very small, there’s no lines to guide where to park. We had to go back to apartment and repark our SUV two times, so neighbors would be happy about it.
