Great location, everything within the apartment you would need

Apartment looking a little tired

Stayed in USA many times over 20 years, this was the worst experience ever. On arrival, 19th Nov, having booked for a 4 night stay , the apt, was extremely smelly, this was reported to host immediately. We thought initially it was a minor issue , and went out for dinner . We returned , smell no better . Overnight the smell made us both unwell as it was so gaseous and virtually tainted the air. The furniture was stained in the living area , and walls were badly marked with damp and paint bubbling. There was also a cockroach trap in the bathroom . We are not sure if the smell was cockroaches nesting or residue of flooding. We left the apt early next morning unwell. The owner was contacted as was booking com , in the early hours of the 20th to notify we were leaving . We have requested a refund of the stay and have been offered partial refund of 3 nights but have been charged a cleaning fee and also tax on the full 4 nights stay . Some photos attached unfortunately don't capture the horrific smell.

The location was perfect. A 25/30 minute walk either way to the beach or las olas strip. The staff were very helpful and responsive when we needed them and they offered us a free late check out. The apartment is a great size and the cooker, fridge, living area, bed all comfy.

When we arrived to apartment 4 we weren't happy with the cleanliness and overall condition of the apartment. Maybe our expectations were too high because of the pictures but the condition of the apartment I would say didn't meet our expectations because of the pictures. The hosts were great and moved us to apartment 3 which was seemed to be kept a lot better and was in better condition but I would say if you are expecting a perfect finish and little bit of luxury then lower the expectations and you will be pleasantly suprised. The bathroom in particular could do with some TLC.

The light outside the bedroom window didn’t turn off until 3 in the morning. Very annoying.

Great location. Apartment very clean. Host was very responsive.
