Residence Inn by Marriott St. Louis West County

Great location, good suite, very clean and comfortable

Breakfast....it was awful. Unfortunately, I left an expensive jacket in my room, it was impossible to speak to a member of the hotel staff, I did contact the main Marriot switchboard , who told me they would get the hotel to contact me....so far, they haven't.

Close to where I needed to go, pool was great and the weight room was good!

This Residence Inn is well designed, well appointed as most Marriotts are, usually. It is in a wealthy area. It is a quiet area. One thing that caught my attention is that it is attached to the Courtyard by Marriott hotel. The hotels share the amenities, a pool, a fitness center, the parking lot, etc. This hotel chain has a higher standard level. So one knows what one will get. The room was clean. The bed was comfortable. The shower was spotless.

I didn't think the blonde guy at the front desk was friendly, and neither was the lady with the long gray hair. But, the girl that was there in the morning was very nice and personable. It was a good change. The other two seemed off to me. It was passive aggressive behaviour. However, it could have been that perhaps it was me, because I was feeling the heebie-jeebies just by stepping foot in Missouri. I'm Puerto Rican, and know all too well about the history of racism in America. I am aware of the dark side of that state from past to present. So their unfriendly demeanor made it very uncomfortable for me.
