Lovely Home with full en-suite double bed rooms

Everything was spot on for the money that we had paid, we were very impressed. The owners were very helpful, & it was actually quiet too. A taxi ride from the station.£10 Taxi from the house back to the station £15.. We used taxis quite a bit...all ok though as we didn't have to pay a fortune for our stay.

Nothing about this accommodation was good

There was someone sleeping in the bed when we arrived! Our plans had changed which meant we arrived earlier than originally planned which should have been fine as we had paid for the room from 3pm. Self check in with a door code accessible from 3pm but someone was still in the bed when we entered. It was very uncomfortable and the woman sleeping in the bed could have been vulnerable. Expressed my concerns to the host who was very unbothered about the situation and did not accept that it was inappropriate to have given us the access codes while still having someone else staying in the room. She offered to take 30 minutes to clean the room for us but again this is just not a reasonable amount of time to clean a room to an acceptable standard in my opinion. I requested a refund due to the circumstances but was refused by the host which I believe is unreasonable. £57 written off but I suppose you get what you pay for...........
