Hilltop House is a welcoming 2 bedroom property

It was roomy and the balcony was nice when warm enough,

Facilities need repair ie flush mechanism. Obviously there were sets of 6 glasses but only 2 survived in the wine size. Kettle was antiquated and the switch came apart on first use , as did the foot peddle on the waste bin. We had already been told the dush washer was u/s but we fud not jntendvto use it anyway. The bed in the nain. Bedroom is not comfortable.

The property is on three floors. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms on the ground floor, very clean bathrooms, good showers and an enormous bath! The living room and kitchen are on the first floor. Comfortable sofa, good TV and big dining table. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped: fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster and dishwasher. My only comment would be that, if there is a dishwasher you need a lot more cutlery and crockery. One meal and you've used the lot and the machine is not half full. Third bedroom is on the 2nd floor, also with an ensuite.

Our only major criticism was that the beds were not very comfortable. Old bedsteads, traditional open spring mattresses and very overstuffed pillows with no give in them at all. The views are fantastic but it is 20 minutes walk from the town centre up a very steep hill. We loved it but some might find it difficult.

The property could have been cleaner, hg mould cleaner is excellent for shower cubicles. More cutlery would be useful.

Plenty of space and wonderful view. Parking was right next to the property.

Although there were 3 showers they were all a bit of a squeeze to get into. The beds were a bit light weight and the towels a bit thin.
