East Bayside/ Munjoy - Charming Downtown Escape

*It was super easy to use the keypad for the main front door as well as the front door to the apartment on the first floor, so we did not have to wait for the owner to arrive. It was also nice to be able to park our car off the street. This apartment has good quality appliances in the kitchen, and we especially appreciated the use of the LG washer/dryer. Thank you for having coffee filters:-) Also, the kitchen utensils including silverware, stemware, and dishes appear to be new and of good quality. It was very easy to drive to the harbor area, and in fact, later we wished we had walked there. Large gas station and convenience store is across the street, any last minute snacks/sodas could be easily bought. The less than 10 minute drive to Trader Joe's and Whole Foods was good. *Since I did not know anything about Portland or the neighborhood we would be staying in, I did a little sleuthing beforehand about the crime rating, and I was pleased to see that it's rated as one of the safest areas in Portland.

*Without much effort, I want to start by saying this could easily become a 10 rating! *Sadly 3 out 4 of the adults complained about sloping beds. In an old structure, uneven floors are typical. Perhaps the bedroom closest to the washer/dryer could have some risers put at the headboard. The master suite bed sloped sideways, so maybe risers could help that bed be more comfortable. You may have to sleep in them to understand what I am describing. *Watching the TV was a little challenging in that none of the adults had any of those numerous subscription services. The guys were trying to find the MLB playoff baseball game but without any luck. *Perhaps adding a map of the area with highlights or notes about stores nearby would be helpful for guests.
