Spacey, well equipped

We recently stayed at this apartment in Thessaloniki and loved the location—right in the heart of cafes, restaurants, and bars, making it easy to explore the city. The apartment was well-equipped with everything we needed for our 1-week stay.

However, the bed was a bit uncomfortable; we could feel the springs underneath, and it was a little small for a couple, especially with one of us being Dutch. Additionally, the fan didn’t seem to work properly—it felt like it was sucking air in rather than blowing it out. Overall, we’d recommend this place for shorter stays, given its fantastic location and amenities.

Keys were easy to get.

There were cockroaches in the flat. Like a lot. They were in the shower, at the walls of the bedroom and also in the kitchen. On the floor and that were only the places i found them. When i saw them at first, i didn't made the connection to coackroaches because they are the oriental type of cockroaches. They look different than the bright brown ones everyone knows. The oriental coackroack doesn't fly, they hide in the room walls, the showers. They are black and dark brown and are the worst type of coackroach you can met. They could even be seen in broad daylight. Which is bad sign. It means you have a lot of cockroaches in the building. The owner must know this, because there are cockroaches also in front of the apartment burned from the sun. They are the south oriental type. They even got in the suitcase and the bed. Had to leave the suitcase behind because they got in the clothing. So if you want to make your stay extra recognizeable, i assume you let yourself be fooled by the beautiful pictures of the flat. When i asked on the given phone numbers of the flat, where to find the keys, the owner said he also lives nearby. So he must know about this. On the plus side, he was friendly. On the minus side, he didn't tell us about the coackroack problem / plague there is. Don't know if other tourists didn't come home late to see them running on the walls or just didn't see them/care. To sum it up: Save yourself the problems i had. Save travels!

Due to technical issues, I was given an other apartment. The owner was forthcoming and organized everything so there wasn’t a hiccup. The place I stayed at was great, nicely furnished, top location, and great value for money.

Balcony was in a bit of a dingy courtyard with the ac blasting hot air. But still good for a smoke before heading out.
