Cozy Cottage 18th Century Seaside Escape Free parking

This was our 2nd stay at the property. The location is great and being dog friendly makes a huge difference to us. The beds are super comfy and the cottagenis well appointed.

On arrival the cottage smelt damp. It was very clean but the lack of ventilation in the kitchen, leaves the damp mop smell flowing through the ground floor. Not the most pleasant welcome after a long journey. The carpets throughout are looking very tired and a bit grubby.

A beautiful cottage with charming original features. It had everything we needed for our stay, the beds were comfortable and everything was clean and tidy. Excellent location within short walking distance to the beach and harbour. After reading some of the negative reviews regarding the noise from the local pubs I took earplugs and I never heard a thing. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay here again if we return to Weymouth.

Proximity to seafront.

Having stayed there in the early summer our biggest gripe was the lack of sleep. The absence of adequate window blinds/curtains and there being no secondary glazing to the bedroom window meant we were awakened before 04:30 by the light through the window and the noise from the numerous seagulls. Even during the early part of the night the window still admitted light from the street lamp which is about six metres directly opposite! Seating.Although one person can sit comfortably in the adjustable lounger anyone else has to make do with the uncomfortable bed/settee.A bigger problem if there are four staying. A larger TV perhaps wall mounted would be a plus. The toaster needs to be retired!

It was so good as a disabled person to be able to park right outside. The bedrooms were very nice and the place had everything you might need for a short stay

The tight spiral staircase was a bit of a chore! Oh, and some young people were fighting in the street at 4am, but it’s hardly the property’s fault.

The Cosy cottage is a lovely place to stay at, we throughly enjoyed our two nights there. It was spotless inside, had the added bonus of your own parking space out the front. Good location, with just a few minutes walk to the beach, harbour and the main part of town. Had a conversation with who I believe to be the owner on the phone, and he came across as a very nice guy and happy to assist. Definitely recommend the cosy cottage as a place to stay.

As mentioned in other reviews, can be noisy at night due to nearby pubs - this did not bother us in the slightest but something to bear in mind.

Stairs were too steep to take cases and bags to bedrooms. Dinning table not fit for purpose.Collapsed during breakfast and whole meal lost on floor as supporting leg was very easily accidentally dislodged
