"Lage Top, keine 5 Sterne wert, vor allem wegen der fehlenden Gastfreundschaft und Wohlfühlfaktor"

Sensationelle Lage des Hotels. Einfach Top! Essen für Buffetverhältnisse sehr gut! Sauberkeit. Wein und Früchteplatte im Zimmer bei Ankunft. Madeira Wein zum Abschluss.

Es fehlt an Herzlichkeit des Personals. Es wirkte auf den ersten Blick eher unfreundlich obwohl dies im Grundsatz nicht der Fall war. Im Gespräch war der Eindruck dann positiv. Wenn man als Gast das Hotel (wohlverstanden 5 Sterne) betritt, dann ist das Ambiente sehr kühl. Es strahlt keine Gemütlichkeit und Willkommenheit aus. Man wird als Gast nicht wirklich begrüsst. Dies auch von praktisch keinem Angestellten. Es kam uns fast schon so vor, dass es dem Personal verboten wurde die Gäste anzusprechen, zu begrüssen und ein einfaches Lächeln entgegenzubringen. ==>>> dies kostet nichts und hat enorme positive Auswirkungen ;-). Madeira gilt als Blumeninsel. Dies könnte man auch ins Hotel Innere transportieren. Im Zimmer fehlt eine Kaffeemaschine. Das Badezimmer und die Zimmermöbel könnten eine Modernisierung vertragen. Die Kleider in der Nachttisch-Schublade rochen sehr stark nach Farbe. Beim Check-Out wurde nicht gefragt, ob man sich wohl gefühlt hat, ob man schöne Ferien verbracht hat etc., etc.. Dies gehört nach unserem Empfinden zum absoluten Minimum. Die Gestaltung im Poolbereich könnte etwas mehr Kreativität vertragen. Z.B. schöne Natursteinplatten. Anstelle ist es ein bemalter Betonboden.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war top, viel Auswahl, keine grosse Wartezeit für Omlette etc. Es gibt eine Flasche Begrüssungs-Wein auf dem Zimmer, das fand ich sehr aufmerksam. Der Poolbereich ist schön gross mit genügend Liegen.

Das Housekeeping war ok, aber nicht super gründlich.
