Don Carlo Suite Relais - Lecce Selection

Lovely property at great location. Flat has everything you could need, fully stocked kitchen, jacuzzi, etc.

There are two major reasons we will not book this again: 1. There is an invasion of tiny ants all over the property. When we moved the bag with the local snack the host had left for us, a bunch of ants crawled out from under it. And it didn't get better. In the end, we didn't use the kitchen as much as we had hoped we would do, because it was a continuous fight against the ants. 2. Somehow, the host gave the address and key code to other tourists. On our third day, we had just come out of the pool and were in a state of undress, when we heard people in front of door (which opens directly into the living room/kitchen) mentioning that they just needed to look up the code. And then they opened the door and came in. We contacted the host, who seemed unduly relaxed about this and just said that it was a mistake. We pointed out that we didn't feel safe, as other people also had the key code now, but we did never hear back.

Helaas was de temperatuurregelaar van de hottub stuk waardoor t helaas te koud was om er in te zitten. Kon tijdens ons verblijf niet gerepareerd worden, maar uiteindelijk goed opgelost door de accommodatie.

Perfect location, with an easy walk to old town; very quiet; the air con was fantastic, with a 'super' setting which cooled the place down quickly (which was appreciated give the temps were in the mid 30's); parking was provided close by; the apartment was very spacious; and it had a washer/dryer, which after quite a few days of travel came in very handy. But most importantly, the hosts were very responsive.

I love the place. It is very spacious, clean and surprisingly sound proof considering it is located on the busy street. Very easy to get too, many great restaurants around.

Great location. Short walks to everything. Great accommodations. TURKISH STEAM! Great way to relax after a day of walking around the Lecce. Free parking close to the apartment. Parking structure is EXTREMELY CLEAN. The apartment has a jacuzzi in one of the 2 outdoor areas in the back of the apartment. Very spacious. Highly recommended.

The apartment was nice at first sight. Clean and good looking. Nice TV, kitchen, shower. We appreciated the free parking and the breakfast at a cafe nearby. The hot tub was nice (with an important caveat mentioned below).

The place is entered from a busy street and has no hallway, so you enter the living room right from the street. Which means you can hear people and cars late into the night. The hot tub only had 28.5 degrees C when we arrived at 7pm. By 10pm it had 34C. Only in the morning did it finally have the required temperature, but that was a bit too late since we had to check out at 10am, which required us to go to the car at the (free) parking lot at 9:40. Some equipment is lower quality, like the board under the dishwasher, which kept falling off. The sofa bed, which we had to pay extra for, was very low quality. It had the shape of a U, so it felt like sleeping in a valley. And the valley was tilted a few degrees down, so I couldn't lie flat.
