"La Portineria" Charming Apartment Old Town Como Lake

Great location, host was responsive and helpful, and room was spacious for 3 guests.

Love that the hotel was in a historic building with lots of artsy quirky decore. Definitely an instagrammable hotel. The pool grotto was exquisite.

At first the neighborhood was a little rough looking but it was fine and we had no issues and felt safe. It was very authentic charming and local neighborhood vibes.

We stayed as a family at La Portineria Charming Apartment, Old Town Como, and it was absolutely wonderful. The apartment is beautifully presented, comfortable, and perfectly located in the heart of Como’s historic centre. Everything we needed was close by—cafés, restaurants, and easy access to the lake. What really made our stay special was the host. He was incredibly welcoming, warm, and attentive, which made the apartment feel very homely from the moment we arrived. His interaction and hospitality added a personal touch that made us feel truly at home. Our time in Como was fantastic. We enjoyed exploring the old town, taking boat trips across the lake, and visiting the surrounding towns and villages. The apartment was the ideal base for our stay, giving us both convenience and a relaxing place to return to each evening. We would highly recommend La Portineria to anyone visiting Como—it made our trip truly memorable.

We had the oven, hob, iron, and coffee machine on at the same time one morning. The main RCD tripped and switched off everything. This alarmed my daughter, but I knew that it had tripped due to my experience with electrical systems. It was easily sorted. However, for someone less capable, it may be a problem

Guilio ist ein super freundlicher, aufmerksamer und hilfsbereiter Vermieter. Sehr charmantes, perfekt ausgestattetes Apartment in der traumhaften Altstadt Comos, ruhig und zentral gelegen in einem wunderschönen, renovierten Altbau, die Einrichtung ist äußerst neu, sauber, hochwertig und stilvoll mit viel Liebe zum Detail, traumhafter Dielenboden, fantastischer TV, gute Klimaanlage, top Espressomaschine und eine sehr große Auswahl an Luxushandtüchern. Der Vermieter war stets erreichbar und äußerst zuvorkommend, selten zu finden: wir haben in der Eile persönliche Wertgegenstände im Zimmer vergessen, die der Vermieter uns freundlicherweise zugesendet hat. Keine Selbstverständlichkeit!
