The cottage is beautifully presented — spotless, cosy, and full of character — with all the comforts you could possibly need for a relaxing countryside escape. The setting is idyllic: peaceful fields, gentle birdsong, and a real sense of privacy without feeling isolated. We loved waking up to the soft morning light and ending each day with the quiet charm of the farm surroundings. The hosts were outstanding — warm, welcoming, and genuinely committed to making our stay perfect. Their care and attention elevated the whole experience. I loved everything

Great hosts, super house, perfect relaxation location

Amazing location for exploring the Forest of Dean. The bed was really comfortable, there was a hot shower and well-equipped kitchen. The hot tub was lovely and our host kindly cleaned it the next day so it was ready for use when we returned from our hike. The area was really quiet and directions to the house were detailed.

Nothing, it was a wonderful weekend

The cottage was absolutely fantastic – set in an idyllic woodland location and perfectly suited to us as a couple with our dog. Everything was spotlessly clean, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The hot tub was a real highlight and made for the most relaxing evenings. Dave and Chrissie were wonderful hosts – thoughtful and welcoming. We had the pleasure of meeting their beautiful spaniel, Leo, who was absolutely adorable! The lovely little touches, like the jar of local honey and the coasters, made it feel even more homely. The location was ideal for us, especially as it was close to friends we were visiting. We also highly recommend Leaf Design just down the road – a great spot for breakfast, with beautiful plants and gifts for sale too. We’d definitely love to stay again in the future!

Beautiful old stone cottage, luxurious all through. Interesting to try a log burner inside and see one to heat the hot tub.

Very high tech, you need to read instructions on everything unless you've got similar at home.

A wonderful stay in a fabulous little cottage. Very cosy inside with a large, comfortable bed and with the added luxury of the wood fired hot tub outside. Chrisie and Dave are the best of hosts, there to help if needed. A special touch was the pup gift bag and the freshly laid eggs ! We will be back.

The host had lit the wood fire for the hot tub for our arrival and was friendly and welcoming . Cosy accommodation. Lovely touches - milk, cider, biscuits , coffee pods, fresh eggs .

We struggled to work out how to use the tv but it did not ruin our stay and was not the fault of the host !!
