Houston Hideaway with King Bed, Games, Prime Location

The host is very attentative and responds to any concerns or inquiries. The location of the property was excellent for the purpose of our trip and there is a grocery store around the corner. Nearby, there's also a light rail stop on Main St. to downtown. The property has plenty of space and is ideal for 4-6 guests. Recommendation: "La Casa" is a great Mexican bakery a few minutes away that serves breakfast every day.

The previous guests left a mess, so there was a rush to clean before our check-in. But the host had his cleaning crew return after I sent a message. Also, the clothes dryer might need repair, if one has something to wash.

It was a spacious, well-designed apartment with great amenities.

The neighborhood and neighbors could be better.

It was modern, comfortable beds. Kitchen was good. Convenient area for touristy purposes .

Someone came knocking on our door & the side windows. It was questionable, we had our toddler with us & we didn’t feel safe after that, triggered my husbands PTSD. Neighbor was not very friendly came outside to ask my husband to stop smoking his cbd outside. Maybe that’s who was aggressively knocking on the door. ( we respected the rules, hence outside) Lots of scuffs on the walls. Dirty condensation on the bathroom walls, not properly swept in the bathrooms, as there was other peoples hair on the floor…Needs a better detail for sure. We had to wait 30 minutes after check in because the cleaner was still not done, left towels in the drier for us to use. Yuck. Good vibes inside, I see what they were going for, but no outside vibes, tight parking . When I brought up late check in, brought up the stranger knocking to property manager. Seemed aloof and not concerned, mentioned it was probably someone looking to rent the connected unit. Wouldn’t do this one again.

Felt very comfortable in the rooms. Clean and organized. Would stay again.

Location is very close to Daikin Park, main reason for our trip. The market across the street was also super convenient. Space was perfect for my 8 family members! The foosball and basketball ball hoop kept our kids entertained when at the home.

The decor and furniture were just as pictured. The host was gracious enough to allow us to change clothes for the conference we were attending prior to check in.

As aforementioned, we were permitted to change clothes after previous tenants checked out, but prior to the cleaners coming. I stopped at the Walgreens and purchased cleaning supplies to clean the two bathrooms for our use. When we returned at the official check in time, the house had not been cleaned. The linens had not been changed, the refrigerator was dirty with crumbs, and the floors had not been swept or mopped. One top sheet and some towels had been left in the dryer and the washer wreaked of mildew. I reached out and sent pictures to the host, yet the only response I received was “Thank you for letting me know”. That was not a resolve. I also didn’t like the location. We saw several police cars daily. To park in the shared driveway, you have to get out and remove a padlock from an iron fence. I’m still unsure of whether this was a two or three home duplex. However, walking through clouds of marijuana was interesting seeing as though we were there for a religious conference.

The place was stunning - had nice decor, and unique houston touch to it with one of the mirrors in the living room. The rooms were spacious and the bathrooms were also spacious! The place was clean and everything looked like the pictures. There are ACs in each room so you can control the temperatures separately, even though the overall place was already cool. The host was also very responsive.

I didn't love the area that we were in, since there were locked gates outside every yard, but at the same time, it made me feel a bit safer with the gate there.
