Lake District Woodland Pods - Winster, Bowness-on-Windermere

Clean, roomy and modern plus the location

We would have preferred a two seater settee and coffee table rather than table and chairs but that is just a personal preference for us.

Nice quiet location, scenic and a pub right on the doorstep that did great food. The pod itself was clean and modern with a nice bathroom and decking. It wasnt a far trek to the property, private car park provided. Could control the heating yourself. Privacy blinds. Comfortable bed. Perfect location and nearby attractions. Overall incredibly pleased with our stay

We were put into a dog friendly pod and for the first couple of days there was a smell of wet dog but it did fade after a while. The sink plug got jammed and the toilet seat and shower rail kept coming loose. Just minor maintenance issues though. Can't fault otherwise

Great location peaceful but just a few minutes drive to bowness? The pods are so clean and welcoming with everything we needed for our stay! We had dinner in the the pub which was superb and we were made to feel welcome with our small dog!

The property was lovely and had everything needed for a nice stay.

Upon arrival we noticed the door was broken. It would not close properly therefore we couldn’t lock the door. I rang for help with this issue, someone arrived after over an hour and looked at the door and told us they’d have to go speak to the manager and come back. We waited a further hour but nobody came back. We had a table booked for food so could not sit waiting around any longer. I tried to phone again multiple times but there was no answer. We then had to go out leaving the door unlocked with our belongings inside, which was not ideal at all and not what I’d expect when I’ve paid to stay somewhere, but we were left with no choice. When we got back after going out for food, I tried calling multiple times again with no answer. By this point it was about 9pm and I’d given up. We then slept with the door still being unlocked. To be honest this was disappointing and if I could get some of my money back I would, because the situation should have been sorted.

Fabulous stay! I felt very safe & happy staying here as a solo female. My dog Poppy also settled in really well straight away. I would happily stay here again. Great location with lots of walks all around.

I wish the blinds were black out, personal preference.

Nothing, it’s a lovely getaway. Minor points, would benefit from a few kitchen items such as a bread knife, cutting board.
