CASTLE HILL apt in Old Town of Bratislava with free parking

The owner arranged for bed sheets to be changed but didn’t clean anything else.

It wasn’t cleaned after the previous visitors. Bed sheets were dirty and dirty dishes were on the kitchen countertop with food leftovers.

The location was one of the reasons why I booked this place.

Bad bed, no hand soap, just 2 towels, additional taxes on top of the accommodation taxes.

Apartment was fine, but it was not that close to town as it says, it was a little too far to walk to city center. Bed was comfortable, but we didn’t have thicker blanket, and we only had two towels for two of us. Apartment was clean but it had smell of old building.

Dirty apartment - it looked as if it wasn't cleaned at all, I even found food sticked to the side of the microwave from inside. Water was impossible to keep inside the shower, and there were no hand towels and no foot towel.

The apartment is clean and modern. Parking is in front of the building.

Not within walking distance to the center. Locker is a bit far and very difficult to open. Check-in instructions were bad. We struggled to get into the apartment. We asked 2 different people to call the apartment owner. The information sent to us was incomplete. This part was very challenging.

The location and the communication was good!

We stayed at this apartment with my husband, and it was an absolute disappointment. The photos on Booking looked great, but the reality was far from it. We had initially planned to stay two nights, but we left after one to avoid ruining our vacation. First, the smell in the apartment was terrible—like a smoker’s apartment where they tried (unsuccessfully) to mask the odor. It felt unclean from the moment we walked in. There were spider webs, and I even had to kill a spider climbing on the bed. Dust was everywhere, clearly visible on the bed’s fabric headboard. The windows were so dirty that I could barely see outside. To make matters worse, we found long black hair all over the apartment—on the floor, in the bed, and even in the fridge. Speaking of the fridge, it was filthy, with leftover pieces of food and more hair inside. The bathroom was no better, with dirt and scale on the showerhead and fixtures. The apartment was clearly not prepared for guests. The dishwasher was still loaded with dishes, and there was no coffee provided. It honestly looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. We were incredibly disappointed and feel this property does not meet basic hygiene standards. I would not recommend this place to anyone. No photos were taken as we tried to leave the place ASAP!
