Willow View Cottage - Beautiful farm views close to Waitomo

The place is spotless, tidy, and no detail (real classy) has been spared: bed sheets are actual linen, i.e. made of flax, taps and fittings worthy of a first class hotel, and so on. Amazing shower rose and facility. We had brought our own breakfast as we weren’t told what to expect. Basically the same ingredients we use.

The total area of the cottage (20-25 sqm.) way too small. I found the photographs illustrating the place accurate but a little deceitful: no separate living and sleeping area. Impossible to do any cooking without the smell of food penetrating the bed space. Not suitable for people with walking difficulties as the steps are made of gravel and a walking stick is impossible to use. Last but not least, industrial noise of something resembling an oil drill, stop and go. All night. The backyard of a farm processing facility.

The most comfortable bed we had the whole week! It was so cozy that I wished I could spend the whole day there soaking up the view. Yummy continental breakfast eaten in the sun on the patio. Perfect!

Comfy bed. Breakfast provided. Wifi good. Good shower. Fine linen provided.

Small. No lounge or easy chairs. Fences block views. If raining outside seating unusable. Balcony tiny with little shelter. Dead flies all over the floor - no fly spray. TV channels very limited.

Excellent, relaxing setting with beautiful views. Just perfect!
