Seaside Spacious Cosy Cottage On The Edge Of The New Forest

We loved the charming home which looks quite recently refurbished. Very comfortable furnishings and a lovely garden, seating area and driveway combined. We had a lot of great facilities to make use of and the location was probably the best part of our trip. A short walk from the sea, the town of Lymington and a recreation and cricket ground.

There were a few unfortunate things that were not disclosed about the house. We believe a previous party had damaged a few things around the house. When using the kitchen we found some facias from the drawers came loose. That wasn't a big issue though. We were told that the table tennis table that was listed on the home's facilities was not available. As we are old friends with a love for table tennis this was one of the reasons we booked this particular property. Therefore we were very disappointed by this. We were not allowed to go into the outhouse where it was stored to even try to fix it. We never were able to meet the host. She spoke to us on the phone but the reception in the area was always quite patchy. We also had to ask for the entry code for the key safe as we were given the code for the driveway gates but I think the house key code was meant to be sent 2 days prior. So getting in was fine in the end as we contacted Goya who was very helpful but as I said the phone reception was patchy in this area.

Fantastic property, great location and had everything you need. Friendly and helpful owner highly recommend.

Information provided by our hostess assisted with making the most of our few days there, particularly in terms of booking activities like a meal at the Pig in Brockenhurst. House beautiful, welcoming and very comfortable with everything we needed, and more. Bedrooms all upstairs with luxurious linen in a quiet location made for peaceful sleep

Not enough seating in the lounge some of us had to sit on the floor. Could do a few more arm chairs

The house is stunning! The beds were comfy, the showers were amazing, the kitchen was beautiful AND we enjoyed the outside area and sat in the sun. Access was super easy, and we felt like it was our home for the weekend!

Fantastic property, perfect spot as only 5 mins walk from the sea & nature reserves, amazing place for dogs with great garden!

A beautiful cottage, stylishly furnished with every amenity you could ask for, from children’s books to coffee machine! Exceptionally clean and well loved the Christmas tree!

It was expensive but we would definitely come again with a bigger group to split the cost.
