Tawhiri - tranquility, space and stunning views in paradise

Very nice and quite charming (older) luxury house with a wonderfull view, plenty of space and well equipped.

Driveway can be a challenge to get out from in car in reverse. Not much else to report.

Beautiful location with awesome views and nice lawn area for some recreation. Easy drive to Wanaka town center (5-8 min) or nice walk along the water's edge for those looking for some fresh air and exercise (1 hour or leisurely 1.5 hours). Approximately 20kms to Cardrona ski field parking area where the free bus will take you up the mountain and drop you off at the lockers area by the slopes.

Can't really fault this one. Management were very helpful and everything was clear from the start. Thank you :).

The views were spectacular. It was clean and tidy.

The BBQ was basically unusable so we ended up bringing our meat for the grill home.

The house was cold and the firewood was not stocked. If you wanted wood, you had to go under the house where there was no light and you had to cut kindling with a block buster (there was only a couple of pieces of pine to stretch out over 4 nights. House was dirty with tissues and hair elastics found under bed. Walls were paper thin so you could hear everything and had to whisper and tiptoe around after the little one went to bed. Strict rules regarding the heating not being allowed to increase to over 15 degrees??? garden overgrown and house generally not well maintained. Shower either scolding hot or freezing cold - literally millimeters between the two.

Great space for our family to relax in. Had everything that we needed.

The view over the lake and mountains from the mezzanine master bedroom was sensational and the house was very well appointed with kitchenware, TV/stereo, Netflix etc. Quiet neighbors too!

In the height of summer, it was difficult to fully cool the upstairs area, though downstairs was much better.
