Mead Cottage a Tranquil Retreat in the Heart of the Lake District - Ridgestone

Beautiful cottage just needs more privacy from going from the house to the hot tub area front garden maybe a higher fence or trellises apart from that a wonderful place to visit with an amazing pub next door. X

Just the walk out the front to the hot tub could be slightly more private apart from that very happy.

The whole place was so well done. finished buitifuly down to every detail, amazing place would recommend to anyone who wants to explore the lake district and have cossy nights in. the tub and garden amazing too. would definitely stay again loved it 😁

This unique quaint cottage in Lindale was equisite, beautifully decorated with a modern flare. The cottage was ideal for two people, it was a nice added touch to have a bottle of wine, coffee beans and some essentials for the kitchen. You walk in to a beautifully furnished, romantic cottage. When I entered within a couple of hours I received a message from "Jack" offering his support if anything was wrong - it wasnt but it was a nice touch. The mapping on goggle was a slightly misleading. The cottage is located right next door to a quiet pub (we popped in for a nice drink). There was some noise from their air conditioning unit, and the road. Thats to be expected with a cottage by the road. The cottage came with towels, bed sheets and a hot tub which was a lovely addition with a small gorgeous garden. It was a delightful area to read a book whilst chilling with a cup of coffee. Modern technology such as wifi, toaster, microwave, coffee machine all of which were high end, especially the bed sheets. Nice to have a fire lit inside and outside. There isnt much privacy inside as shower is in the bedroom but it added to my adventurous side. Slight downside was the check in time 4pm! That said i asked for a slightly early check in which was granted. For the price for me it should be a standard early check in from 2pm. For me it was luxurious but it was just a tad over priced for two nights. That said, it isnt to be missed if you want a special weekend away.

Had a lovely 4 night stay in Mead Cottage in March. The property was clean and furnished to a high standard - a cosy environment perfect for 2! Communication with the hosts prior to arrival was very good. The hot tub was wonderful - fantastic to experience after a day exploring the lakes. We would book again and would definitely recommend. We had a wonderful week at Lindale in the Lake District! The cozy, sleek interior was perfect for two, with a hot tub and a live fire log burner. Despite the cold temperatures outside, the place was warm and homely. Two TVs, a lovely garden/patio, and excellent amenities made our stay even better. The host was friendly and incredibly helpful, providing plenty of towels and top-tier coffee. Highly recommend this beautiful, well-maintained place!

There was an issue with the water not working for a short while (due to the freezing cold temperatures outside). But the host sent a plumber within an hour to resolve the issue (Thanks Jack)

Beautiful little cottage, high standard and perfect hideaway romantic retreat. Decor and facilities top notch. It was just perfect for the two of us over New Year's Eve.

Nothing we didn't like, but would ensure you take some flip flops that are easy to get on and off when you use the hot tub.

Loved everything about the property. Super cosy, warm, clean. Nicely finished. Was the perfect size for two people wanting a cosy experience leading up to Christmas. Easy communication with the host. Included a lovely bottle of red which was a fantastic touch to our stay. Hot tub was warm. Great location for the lakes. Can’t wait to stay in this property again. Loved everything about it, the detail, the ski chalet vibes, the warmth the property gave us as soon as we entered. Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for a great stay!
