They were not ready for us when we arrived and we were told, over the phone, to wait an hour for our room. The villages around where their hotel is are virtually derelict. There wasn’t a reception so nobody to speak with face to face. Without doubt, this is the most stressful hotel we have tried to stay out. In the meantime we decided to go to their restaurant which turned out to be 24 kilometres away down poorly maintained single track, pot holed, country lanes. As we had booked a table for 19:30 it would have meant returning to our room in the dark on poor roads. As we were driving an expensive sports car, we decided not to stay as there was a strong chance we could have damaged our car.

Nice place, very calm. Nice furniture, high quality materials.

Full digital onboarding. We had a pretty competitive rate because of a Booking voucher but the average normal rate is +300 euros. For this fare I do think that this full digital approach is not decent regarding the location. Pretty expensive breakfast with limited option because of the digital order method

"Amazing place to stay just abit remote for us as their isn’t a restaurant on site"

Wow great place to stay, we had the attic room which was immaculate and so well equipped. Breakfast was fab too and served to our room. Visited the restaurant which was not on site and wow what a location!

No view of countryside Very remote location Quite dark in the room We didn’t realise that the restaurant is not on site but rather a 25min drive away and is the same menu as the room service so we could have just had it in our room. However the restaurant is in a spectacular hamlet next to an epic castle on a hill

We couldn’t believe how perfect this hotel is. An oasis of peace in the middle of rural France.

Could have done with a kettle as the coffee machine defeated us and there was no other way to make coffee.
