Shepherds Hut - Brecon Beacons

All of it, nothing not to like, great place to go for total relaxation away from the noise of modern life. The highlight is the chickens that follow you round. Great open fire to cook on and sit by to watch the stars.

The cooking facilities at the side.of the hut, the hammock, having the roaming chickens and cock. Feeling like we were being judged by the hens for eating their eggs for breakfast lol

Lovely quiet location. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Great outdoor space. Loved the firepit. Nice to have eggs, milk and essentials like tea, coffee etc there. Very nice hosts.

It was very good, but would certainly benefit from either a bath or shower as part of the package If like ourselves, you've had a day trekking or site seeing, and given the ridiculously hot weather, a refreshing bath or shower would have been the difference between a good rating and exceptional. A little fridge connected to a solar panel on the roof would have kept the few bits of food reasonably fresh overnight. A sign leading from the road to the cabin would be useful, perhaps a repurposed paddle. It's very nice, but it could be exceptional with a few additional touches, I'd put the table and chairs out front under a veranda and have a couple of more comfortable armchairs in the cabin. These points are not negatives, so should not be interpreted as such, more observations, the only real dissapointment was the lack of a bath or shower, more so given how hot it was and after a trip trekking around skomer all day. My fault really should have read the small print. Lovely place in a lovely part of South Wales.

The hut is wonderful and the place is amazing. The cock is the most amazing cock I've ever seen, proud and erect! The family who own the place are very kind and friendly. The eggs and milk are brilliant. It's a wonderful place to stay. Seriously it's brilliant X Thank you for the stay
