We loved our stay at Chez Le Goff for 4 days visiting Hydra. The villa is beautiful, tastefully decorated with amazing art from the owner's family and the view is spectacular. Our breakfast and aperitivo on the terrace overlooking the sea was the best parts of our stay. Alexander is a wonderful host and takes very good care and is helpful managing our stay, even with a loud infant! Thanks again!

A little piece of paradise The best part of our trip to Croatia & Greece (and we stayed in wonderful places). Alexander offered me the key to be the first to glimpse the apartment — the space took my breath away. The private pool overlooking the vibrant blue seas and sky. The view alone is worth the walk up many steps. As wonderful as the outdoor private pool and view are, we felt embraced by the original intention of this romantic honeymoon getaway in the sky. The artwork everywhere, one more beautiful than the next. The bedroom and bathroom an intimate space to linger in. Learning that Alexander’s father spent time with Leonard Cohen on the very pool terrace added a smile on my face as we left. The 1970s was rich in culture and Chez Le Goff an active piece of the energy. Anyone thinking of visiting Hydra would be lucky to reserve a spot at Chez Le Goff. We enjoyed local restaurants Alexander recommended. And for any vegans Kam.in (nestled in close by) has a fabulous vegan brunch. We ate there at least 4 times. For hiking and higher views, the journey to Hydra-Profitou Iliou Monastery is a refreshing day, guaranteeing a good night’s sleep. There are too many photos to share, yet I will be referring to them often. Thank you Alexander for you and your wife deciding to continue the generational history of this unique and psyche-enriching space.

You have to pinch yourself a couple of times to believe that this spectacular home, private pool and view of Kamini and the ocean is real. Alexander has truly thought of everything right down to the smallest detail to ensure you have the best stay possible. The home itself is impeccable, stylish and imbued with the warmth of his painter father who built the place. While not in the thick of Hydra, it is a brief and stunning ocean walk into town and is closer to the best swimming spots. We watched the sunset from the terrace every night and never got tired of the breathtaking view. Book it! You’ll have the most special time.

Chez Le Goff is an amazing place! It is located near the top of a hill with an absolutely gorgeous view of Kamini port and the Aegean Sea! The apartment is beautifully designed and decorated. I especially loved the wonderful paintings in the apartment and book corner with art and history books. The whole place is very stylish and makes you feel special. The apartment has air conditioning and a master bathroom with a shower and bathtub. The beautiful terrace also has a lovely pool, so if you don’t feel like swimming in the sea you can always swim in the pool. Last but not least (!) - Alexander, the owner of Chez Le Goff is very friendly, always available and eager to help! He is a man with a big heart!

An exceptional property that genuinely exceeded our high expectations. Combining location, facilities, cleanliness, value for money and the stellar service of host Alexander, we rate this as our number one private stay in thirty years of visiting Greece for business and holidays.

This property is a hidden gem! It is very spacious, very tastefully furnished with a nice collection of artwork, and the view is truly breathtaking. The owner Alexander was very easy to approach and made us feel very welcome. The property is located around a 10-15 minute walk from the main harbor in a peaceful area away from the hustle and bustle and, being quite high up, offers some spectacular views. This was a bonus for us as a family and our 4-year-old son had no trouble walking up the hill to get the property. He also loved the pool!

We can’t recommend Alexander’s beautiful house in Hydra enough. Alexander was a fantastic host - so very friendly, helpful and welcoming. He arranged all our transport for us including a Mule to take our luggage! The house is so unique and artistic with a gorgeous panoramic view of the sea. The swimming pool and large terrace are lovely, the rooms and interior are so beautiful and airy with high ceilings. The house was spotless and Alexander provided us with everything you need to make yourself at home. The short walk into the port is picturesque with lots of restaurants and bars along the way. Hydra is a really beautiful island and staying in Alexander’s house made our experience on the island really magical. We can’t wait to come back!
