The back pod

Snug and very cosy, lovely location. With clear skies you can see the most beautiful stars

For the size of the place, it was surprisingly practical to cook in the kitchen nook. 3 of us were preparing the meal and it worked really well. Watching Tv and eating at the table were also good for 3 of us. The heater was super efficient. After 5 minutes on, we turned it off again as the place was so warm. Great tv viewing choice too. The place was also clean.

The mattress on the bed has seen better days. We both woke up with a sore back. We couldn't open the window for a through breeze, so it was a bit damp and stuffy in there. Difficult to avoid when it's raining all day though.

Such a cosy and comfortable bed. All the facilities you could wish for were provided and the host was friendly and accommodating. Somewhat of a squish for 3 people but fine for one night. Good views.

A little further from the sea than I had first thought but still walkable. Unfortunately there was a strong smell like a chemical toilet type of smell.

Very clean, well equipped, with everything you need, very nice view, well heated whenever you need it.

Quite difficult to find, no real indication from the host, no communication (too bad), the water is tricky to manage (always hot or too hot from tap,and the shower was a bit unpredictable), bed and bathroom a bit too tiny but fine for one night.

Although compact, it had almost anything you could need. Some really nice touches, and outstanding view.

The location was great, just a few miles from Stornoway & a great base to explore Lewis & Harris. Beautiful beaches close by. Fabulous view from the pod. Very peaceful. We stayed for 5 nights & found the pod very cosy & comfortable. Facilities were good for cooking simple meals. Shower was nice & hot but cubicle quite small. Good sized fridge freezer. Local shop/ post office open long hours & well stocked.

Needed a little TLC, could do with fresh woodstain for pod & picnic bench. Mirror not fixed to wall. Pod better for short stays. Nowhere to store clothes.

Where to start? Lovely welcoming note with the radio on for us. Milk in the fridge with tea and coffee available. Lovely view, comfy bed, place was warm and cozy and exceptionally clean. Would recommend to anyone again.
