Comfortable homely feel. Very good breakfast. Good tea and coffee tray. Lovely rural area.

Bathroom was a bit dated but overall good.

10/10 for the hosts, location, cleanliness, room facilities, wi-fi, parking, friendly welcome, breakfast quality and so on.

My only disappointment was that on my second night, when the adjacent room to me was occupied, I was woken a number of times. They were just lovely normal people doing reasonable everyday things but the soundproofing was non-existent. Every movement, every telephone call, every time anything was put onto the floor was like I was in the same room and kept me awake. This was the single item in an otherwise fantastically good quality and good value two-night stay, but it did have me worrying in case I was also disturbing my lovely room neighbours too.

Bedroom and bathroom were cold. No heating on. A lot of dust on objects in the room and bathroom. I felt it needed a deep clean and fewer dust collecting Knick knacks

A beautiful property, wonderful bedrooms and beautiful bathrooms with great shower. Beds are decadent and the showers are hot.

We informed the property we would arrive later in the evening as we were arriving after a long journey to a horse show nearby. Once we had settled the horses we made our way across to the hotel. The owner was rude, abrupt and abrasive. He was clipped and short about our late arrival time (21h30) Which we had let him know about and then made disparaging comments all through the check in process. He was additionally rude to my guests who I had paid for when they stayed for breakfast in the morning. If you are in the business of hospitality, perhaps be more hospitable.

We had a wonderful stay! The room was gorgeous and cosy, with an extremely comfortable bed and immaculate white linen. The tea tray was perfect with great coffee. From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. Joyce greeted us with such warmth and made us feel instantly at home. We slept so well! Breakfast by Richard was outstanding – everything was fresh, delicious and cooked to perfection. It really set us up for the day. The atmosphere of the whole B&B was relaxed making it feel like a real treat rather than just somewhere to stay.

There was nothing we didn’t like. My little girl summed it up perfectly: “5 stars!” We only wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be looking for an excuse to return. Thank you so much, Joyce and Richard, for making our stay so special.

superply friendly, nothing was to much trouble . the breakfast was to die for ,everything was so fresh and mostly home grown ,own eggs etc etc tomatoes like youve never tasted before.
